About Sam
I’m Sam a holistic therapist, breathwork facilitator and coach, supporting women to regulate their nervous systems, restore their health and reconnect with themselves in a sustainable, natural way.
My work is shaped as much by lived experience as by training and study. I don’t offer techniques in isolation, I embody the practices I share and work with people as a whole: body, mind, nervous system and life context.

My Background
Before moving fully into holistic practice, I spent many years working in Corporate HR, Coaching, Recruitment and Learning & Development. I understand first-hand the pressures of modern life, high expectations, constant demand and the tendency to place wellbeing last.
In my early thirties, my relationship with health changed profoundly following a diagnosis of breast cancer. Alongside medical treatment, I turned to holistic therapies to support my body and nervous system through an intense and life-altering period.
Those therapies became a place of regulation, rest and recovery, and fundamentally changed how I understood healing. They didn’t just help me cope; they reshaped my view of what true health looks like.
That experience led me to retrain, step away from the corporate world and commit fully to supporting others in a more holistic, compassionate way.

I am a holistic therapist in the truest sense.

- Your relationship with stress, rest and self-care

My approach is nervous-system-led, trauma-informed and grounded in the belief that the body holds wisdom, and that lasting change happens when we work with it, not against it.
Therapies are a great starting point for nervous system regulation. I adapt my approach to every appointment you attend to lead you gently into the direction of less stress and tension, managing any symptoms you're experiencing, providing that much-needed space to switch off.
Breathwork became a central part of my work because it offers direct access to the nervous system and is, in my view, one of the most powerful antidotes to the demands of modern life.

EmpowerHER brings together coaching, nervous-system regulation and embodied practices to help women move out of survival mode, understand themselves more deeply and create meaningful, sustainable change in their lives.

Study, research & professional practice
My work is informed by ongoing study, research and professional development, with a particular interest in intergenerational trauma and how it shapes our nervous systems, beliefs and behaviours.
An article based on my studies and research into intergenerational trauma has been published in a professional coaching journal, reflecting my commitment to thoughtful, evidence-informed practice.

A little more about me
Married to David, I’m a proud mother to two grown-up, beautiful adults, and a lifelong lover of animals.
Outside of my work, I’m happiest spending time with friends and loved ones, enjoying live music, good food and being outdoors, especially by the sea or in nature. These are the simple things that help keep me grounded, connected and well-regulated in my own nervous system.
You’ll often find me accompanied by my much-loved goldendoodle, Arnie.
